Tomohiro Arita, born in Osaka (Japan), studied with Prof. Simone von Rahden at the Hanns Eisler University of Music Berlin. In parallel with his studies, he was in Academies at the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra. In 2025, he performed as guest principal violist with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen at Konzerthaus Berlin and Die Glocke Bremen. He regularly appears as a guest musician with orchestras such as Chamber Orchestra of Europe, the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester and NDR Radiophilharmonie. Since 2021, he is a member of Hamburg State Philharmonic Orchestra and a core member of Japan National Orchestra.
