Born in Tokyo. Completed the Undergraduate Program in the Department of Instrumental Music in the Faculty of Music and the Master’s Program in the Graduate School of Music of Tokyo University of the Arts after graduating from the Music High School Attached to the Faculty of Music at that university. Received the Acanthus Music Prize in the Graduate School of Music at the university. Has studied the oboe under Itsuko Sanada, Shoko Ikeda, Hitoshi Wakui, Yoshiaki Obata and Satoki Aoyama thus far.
Placed second (the highest) at the 12th International Oboe Competition of Japan held in Tokyo. Has received numerous other awards. Has performed together with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Chiba Symphony Orchestra, Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra and Ryukyu Symphony Orchestra as a soloist. Currently serves as an associate principal player on the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra after serving as a principal player under contract with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and a member of the Chiba Symphony Orchestra. Also actively performs solo recitals and chamber music, including playing as part of a wind quintet, in addition to her orchestral activities.
