Graduated from ICHIJO High School in Nara City and subsequently from the Department of Music at Tokyo University of the Arts.
Studied the contrabass under Takehiro Hayashi, Yoshio Nagashima, Hiroshi Ikematsu, Shu Yoshida and Shinji Nishiyama thus far.
Placed first in the 2nd Japan International Contrabass Festival Solo Competition.
Specially selected to perform as a soloist in the Tokyo University of the Arts Morning Concert while enrolled. Performed together with the Geidai Philharmonic Orchestra.
Has thus far served as a guest principal player in the NHK Symphony Orchestra, the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, the New Japan Philharmonic and the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra, and has participated in the Kitakyushu International Music Festival. Also an active chamber music performer who has been lauded for his joint performances of The Trout Quintet by Franz Shubert together with Akiyoshi Sako and Ryoko Fukasawa on piano.
Has participated in tours across Japan as a core member of the Kyohei Sorita Produce: Japan National Orchestra. Held a solo recital in Hamarikyu Asahi Hall.
Has two inclusions on the “Kyohei Sorita MLM National Orchestra 2019” album released by NOVA Record: “Adagio and Allegro” by Robert Schumann and “Passacaglia” by Handel Halvorsen.
Is currently the principal contrabass player in the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra.
