Awarded the second-highest prize in the 18th International Chopin Piano Competition in 2021, making him the second Japan-born pianist to place that high in the competition in 50 years.
Has regularly played in recitals and in tours with both domestic and overseas orchestras across Japan year after year since playing his sensational debut recital to a sold-out crowd at the Main Hall of Suntory Hall in 2016.
Has also been producing chamber music along with the JNO, which he personally founded, since 2018. Initiated activities aimed at the world while being based in Nara after starting up a new company dedicated to orchestra in May 2021.
Made his CD debut on Nippon Columbia in 2015, after which he launched “NOVA Record” as a joint business with eplus inc. in 2019, and continues to enjoying growing CD sales.
Has also been focusing on popularizing classical music through appearances on music programs such as “Untitled Concert” and “Jonetsu Tairiku” as well as in other media such as documentary and news programs.
Began paid streaming early on during the COVID-19 pandemic that arrived in 2020. Has also been operating “Solistiade,” a music salon serving as a forum of communication between young musicians and fans, since 2021.
Is currently initiating piano and conductor activities while being based in Vienna.
Is slated to make his debut as a pianist in Germany, Canada, Australia and Taiwan during the 2023-24 season. as well as his debut as a conductor in Vienna in December 2023.
Graduated from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in 2014, then went on to complete a graduate program at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music (formerly Warsaw Conservatory).
